Pizzazzing You is CPSIA Compliant

We care about the safety of all children, and that is why, even though Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) does not currently require testing of certain products, that by nature, will never exceed certain lead content limits.  We want you to rest assured that our products are safe for your child.

We have received many questions and comments from our buyers & our customers regarding the CPSIA, and we hope that this webpage is able to answer your questions regarding our proucts.

We Understand the CPSIA Lead Content Regulations Regarding Children's Products To Be Following:

The current lead content limit is 300 ppm

As of August 14, 2011 the total lead limit will become 100 ppm

 Products Not Requiring Testing or Certification

CPSIA's Statement of Policy: Testing and Certification of Lead Content in Children's Products

Within the above policy is a list of products that do not need to be tested or certified because

"...by their nature, will never exceed the lead content limit.."

 D7: Textiles (excluding after-treatment applications, such as screen prints, transfers, decals, or other prints) consisting of:

 a. Natural fibers (dyed and undyed) including but not limited to, cotton, kapok, flax, linen, jute, ramie,hemp, kenaf, bamboo, coir, sisal, silk, wool (sheep), alpaca, llama, goat (mohair, cashmere), rabbit(angora), camel,horse, yak, vicuna, qiviut, guanaco;

b. Manufactured fibers (dyed or undyed) including, but not limited to, rayon, azlon, lyocell, acetate,triacetate, rubber, polyester, olefin, nylon, acrylic, modacrylic, aramid, spandex;

Our Conclusion

Many of our products will not need testing or certification because:

Our hats, headbands, tulle, flowers, and ribbons are made from dyed cotton, nylon, silk, and/or spandex.

The crystals we use on our products are acrylic, and the glue we use is considered to be "inaccessible".

Those items that would require testing are tested by our manufacturers and do pass product safety compliance.
